After months of use, I still love it July 27, 2010 Jane (USA) I waited a long time before doing this review to be sure the seal remained tight. It has, and I love the cup. It holds a cup of coffee not a huge amount. It's probably equivalent to a small Dunkin Donut coffee. If you like a larger amount, this is not the one for you. I know some have complained about he lid leaking. I don't see any problem. Just like any travel cup, you need to put the lid on carefully. I have never had a problem with this cup--no leaking at all. I have, however, gotten coffee from coffee shops where they didn't push the lid on right. I am careful about making sure the lid is on properly. No problem.
It goes through the dishwasher, including the lid, in the top rack and is just the same today as it was when I got it. Now I have to get another one for my son so he will leave mine alone.
Great small cup July 26, 2010 David Edmiston (So Cal) I bought two of these at the beginning of the year and have used them both for months now. I think these cups are great. They show a little dirt on the outside, but that's OK. I've seen a lot of complaints here about the lids not attaching securely, but I haven't had trouble with either of mine.
My only beef with these cups is that they're a little smaller than my typical serving of coffee, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.
I use one of these cups at home and one at work. I get funny looks in meetings, but people usually end up asking me where they can get one for themselves (even after I warn them of the 10 oz contents).
So you don't spill a drop...here's the secret.... July 13, 2010 B. Watkins 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just bought my I'm Not A Paper Cup cup just last night and couldn't wait to use it! (BTW, I got mine at Marshall's for only $9.99) As I write this review, while hoovering over the keyboard without a worry of seepage, I am enjoying my coffee straight out of this mug with the lid on. Here's the trick: you must make sure the rim of the mug is DRY before putting on the lid! Just do a quick wipe with a kitchen towel. As an added precaution, also make sure the lid underneath is dry as well. If either of these are wet, you will not form the needed seal to prevent drips. I just happen to stumble on this fix after a little research of my own regarding various kinds of silicone lids unrelated to this mug (i.e. the silicone lids that fit on glass Pyrex bowls). If your are having leaks, why not give it a try and let us know how it works for you.
So far, I am delighted with my mug and can't wait to show it off and say, "This is NOT a paper cup!"
Great (Green) Coffee Cup! July 4, 2010 Brian M I love this cup! The sides are lukewarm to touch, while the coffee inside is piping hot. While it only holds 10oz, that is sufficient for me in the office.
I'm not sure if design changes were made, or if folks don't put their lid on securely, but I have never experienced coffee leaking while drinking from this cup.
Yes, the lid smells when it first arrives. Instructions say to rub the lid with toothpaste and rinse. That works, but the lid will smell minty for a while (better than the original silicone smell). The other option is to put the lid in boiling water with lemon for a few minutes and the odor is gone for good.
Overall, a quality, stylish cup for those that don't want(or need) a 32oz thermos of coffee. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Not very happy with the cup July 1, 2010 cherryblossom (New York) The cup is made of porcelain and is heavy for a coffee cup, and the cap is rubbery and smells funny. Not very happy with the product. I got it because I cdn't find any other microwavable cup less than 16oz.
