Love this and the Copco coffee cup as well. August 31, 2010 Roderic Rinehart (Heart of Rural Indiana) I use this one for iced coffee and iced tea when I need 24oz instead of the 16oz that the white Copco cup can hold.
Both cups are well-made, BPA-free, look cool, are good for the environment, impart no taste or smell, absorb no taste or smell, and are easy to clean.
As for a few people claiming they are leaky - THEY ARE NOT LEAKY. You are not buying the Nissan Thermos, you are buying a cup. TRUST ME, IF YOU DRINK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON, IT WILL NOT LEAK.
nice for carbonated drinks! July 28, 2010 keysgirl (Key Largo) I got this at BBB because I use the CamelBak BPA-Free Better Bottle with Bite Valve for most beverages but it will not work for anything carbonated so I got this and now drink everything out of it when I am not overly concerned about spills. Although it is not (and does not claim to be) leak-proof if I had a full glass of soda on my desk and knocked it over the spill would be smaller than in a cup with no lid. I have knocked it over when it was not very full and as long as there is not enough drink to make it to the straw opening it does not leak so it is at least a little protection from spillage. The lid has an o-ring to ensure a tight seal there which I appreciate.
The band around the outside does not give much grip- it looks like silicone but it is a harder plastic. I don't generally drop cups because of grip so it is not a big deal to me and this is probably easier to clean than silicone that gets nasty after awhile.
I don't think there is any way around the straw being so stiff since it would be less durable if it were thinner or more flexible but I do find it a little uncomfortable. Getting used to it though.
It is not insulated and does sweat like a normal cup- since I would normally use a plastic cup with no lid that would sweat just as much, I don't have a problem with this. I may try the double walled 'eco cup' as a second one though.
Gotta Love It July 19, 2010 P. Bradley (Lexington Ky. United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Copco Sierra Cold Tumbler, 24-Ounce Capacity, Brown Needed to get the necessary 64oz. per day and had stopped using bottled water. Always reused the cups I recieved at restaurants because of the tops and the large straws. What a surprise to find that I could purchase my own tumbler that would allow me to add ice and had it'sown straw. So far I love it. Only allow my husband to use it when he was sick and had to shame him into returning, (although I purchased them in every color. You will be satisfied with the convenience and thesturdiness(hope that's a word) it does not appear to be easily cracked or broken, will let you know later. On the go, for your beverages, you need this.
Great Cup July 19, 2010 Ryan (Hornell, NY United States) I have been looking for a cup like this for sometime for iced coffee. Works great and is dishwasher safe. It does sweat but that is not a large issue for me. Now I don't have to stop in the morning to get an iced coffee.
Not a Tumbler July 12, 2010 chelly1100 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This cup is usable, but it isn't a tumbler (not double-walled insulated) so it sweats from the moment you fill it until your drink is gone. Also, the top leaks even though there is the rubber seal. The straw stirrer is a cool idea; I am not sure how much better it stirs than a regular straw. Overall, I am not impressed with this cup and wish I had spent the extra $5 for the Starbucks version.
