Love it! March 29, 2010 S. Eary (Florida) I love this mitt! Better quality that it appears online. Wish I had ordered two!
EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY (SINGES FROM HOT OVEN) March 9, 2010 TWJ (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
PROS: Large mitt size with good wrist and lower arm protection.
CONS: Poor quality cheap outer fabric, not inexpensive given only 1 mitt is included.
WOULD I BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN: No!
REASONS: In the first week of use, I picked up a very hot metal tray from the oven broiler and the outer fabric on the mitt thumb singed (burning a small hole in the outer fabric exposing the inner layer of insulation material. Later in the first month of use, the same happened a second time only worse - the hot pan burned and blackened a hole the size of a half-dollar (I had to open the sliding glass door to outside to clear the smoke out of the kitchen. Maybe next winter I will use what is left of these on a snowman...
CAUTION: I did not notice when ordering that only ONE mitt is included (if you want a pair you need to order 2).
Just What I Was Looking For January 23, 2010 O. Brown (Twopeas, WA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful

I have many fancy oven mitts, including those made out of silicone (stiff and bulky) and those made out of cloth but with silicone strips (unwieldy), and I found myself falling back on the good old fabric only ones all the time. Unfortunately all of the fabric ones I had were old and worn out. So I took a chance on these, buying them because of the reviews and because they looked to be a bit higher quality than your average fabric oven mitt.
Well, they are much better than I'd thought. First of all, they appear to be superior quality, not flimsy at all. The exterior is a heavy canvas material. They do fully cover my wrist and go more than halfway up to my elbow, which I really like. Best of all, on the inside there is a heavy duty cotton terry cloth instead of the common muslin or cheaper thin quilted interior. These will be protective of my hands, just like I wanted. But they are not stiff or bulky--this is probably the biggest challenge in designing an oven mitt--protection without bulkiness, keeping maneuverability. These oven mitts rock!
Highly recommended.

Great color! January 9, 2010 NboroGirl (Boston) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought 2 of these because I loved the color (true as shown) and the reviews were very positive. I'm not sure what I can say about oven mitts... they do the job. They come up pretty high - about 4 inches from my elbow, and I'm not quite used to mitts that go up that high. Some people will love that because it will prevent you from burning your arms accidentally when removing stuff from the oven. Also, they are a little stiff compared to my old oven mitts, but that could just be because they are new and not broken in.
Quality oven mitt November 16, 2009 Paula J. Mcgarrah (FL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This oven mitt met my needs completely. The colors were perfect for my kitchen as well as keeping me safe from oven burns. It also matches several other items both in solid colors and striped. Mario Batali did not disappoint-his kitchen items are top of the line.
