5 out of 5 stars What can I say?   September 4, 2010
Huh? Wha? (WA)
It's a cast iron wok. Uh, what did you expect? A super auto-cooker with extra features? It seasons well, it washes easily if you need/want to wash with mild soap and water. It's everything it *should* be. The food tastes great. I couldn't really ask for more. Oh, fair warning, it's not as light as its aluminium counter-parts. However, please...please...please follow their seasoning instructions and read the care manual. It's short, and will save you headaches if you've never owned cast iron cookware before.

5 out of 5 stars Can't be beat   August 23, 2010

I used my new Lodge wok for the first time tonight. I thought I blew it when I forgot to put in oil before I tossed in the meat. It did stick, I scrapped out the meat, added oil, and threw the meat back in. It stir-fried just fine. I thought that I would have to ruin the seasoning trying to get it clean when I was done cooking, but that wasn't the case. I put some hot water in it when it had cooled off a bit, and it cleaned up perfectly. I was really amazed, since there was quite a bit of burned meat on the bottom of the wok. I also noted that my standard home electric stove had enough oomph to get the wok up to stir-fry temperature in a fairly short amount of time, probably less than 5 minutes. It holds that heat too. Throughout the cooking, everything sizzled just fine. Great wok.

5 out of 5 stars Quality American Made Wok!   August 21, 2010

Lodge cast iron is classic for a reason - it works! This wok is heavy, no slipping and sliding. Holds heat, cooks evenly. Requires a little more care than steel, but does so much better. Great investment for you and your grandkids. I've tried the teflon/calphalon etc - keep coming back to cast iron. And Lodge is the top of the line. I heat my pans till hot, add oil, and nothing sticks. Way to go Lodge!

Love this wok - it holds a lot and we've been using it on the grill and over the campfire - works great, and I think it's probably indestructible.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!   August 11, 2010

This wok is fantastic!

I just received the Lodge Pro-Logic wok the other day. Washed it up and immediately starting cooking as the "seasoning" is well done. Immediately stir fried vegetables and then used it to make fish stew. I have used the wok indoors on my stove and outdoors on my turkey fryer (super hot like the restaurant burners!). The cast iron retains all of the heat so you can get the "wok hay" in your cooking. It will only get better over time.

I love all of Lodge products and got rid of all my Teflon coated pans. Sure their products are heavy but it is definitely worth it. I only wish they made a larger wok!
