Great Tongs August 18, 2010 Dylan C. Douglas When I got these I was worried about the price, but after 4 years of use they are still going strong and don't look like they are going to die any time soon. They feel good in the hand, nice weight and sturdy feel, and I never feel like I'm going to drop something while using them. The locking feature is also nice so they don't take up much space in a drawer, although these days I hang them from the little hole at the end of the handle. In short, great product and worth the money.
Poor Lock August 5, 2010 George B. Tyda I received these as part of a package purchase. Problem is, the tongs do not come together tightly at the tips. If you are going to use a oiled paper towel to coat a grill you have to use a lot of paper towels for the tips of the tongs to take hold. For turning food they are fine.
Fantastic. August 2, 2010 M. Walker (Dillon, MT) These tongs are simply fantastic. The spring tension is just right. They stay closed when you need them closed, yet are easy to open. They clean up well and are durable. Buy one pair with steel tips, and one with nylon tips. Why bother with anything else?
Best locking tongs I have ever bought July 28, 2010 Gillian Silva (CA USA) The mechanism on these tongs is far superior to other locking tongs I have purchased.
tongs? did you say tongs? July 27, 2010 xfooey (Brooklyn, NY) I got these cause I already own some OXO stuff. Was not disappointed. It's stainless. Got that nice rubbery grip. The lock holds. It doesn't feel chintzy of cheaply made. I've grilled with it, scooped veggies out of pots with it, served with it, made nervous clicking noises with it and yes, I pinched the better half's bottom with it. In case you're wondering, Better Half prefers the tongs to the salad tongs!
