If this one lasts as long as my old presto coffee maker I will probably never have to buy another one. I love this coffee maker; coffee is good, easy to clean and it looks nice leaving it on my counter.Keeps the coffee nice and hot . I can use regular ground coffee without using a paper filter as the basket does a good job of filtering.

Love this thing. I love a piping hot cup of coffee and would have to heat my cup with hot water and my cream in the microwave when using a drip coffee maker. No more! The coffee out of this percolator is perfectly hot for me and it stays hot! Love it, love it, love it! It also looks elegant on the counter of my newly remodeled kitchen. I thought percolators were a thing of the past and stuck with drip models for years but was dissatisfied with the "burnt" taste after just a half hour. Not a problem now. Would recommend this coffee pot to anyone who wants a hot, flavorful cup of coffee!

As the coffee percolates the fluid lifts the cover off the coffee grounds basket washing the grounds into coffee liquid. The result is coffee grounds in your coffee. Poorly engineered and not properly tested. Otherwise the percolator is superior to the so called "coffee makers".

Fast brew with 12 cups taking 12 minutes is great when you need that cup of Java in a hurry. Good choice if you prefer your coffee without plastic please! With most coffeemaker's made from plastic it dawned on me that piping hot water running through plastic or sitting in plastic overnight meant it had to be going into my cup. If given a choice, my preference is no Plastic or Polymer in my food and beverages. This stainless steel percolator is a good choice, however, after six months of usage all the cleaning in the world could not remove the metallic taste.

It is now over a year since I've purchased this percolator (5/09) and I absolutely LOVE it. It is sleek and beautiful on the counter. The easiest coffee maker I have ever used and makes a fabulous cup of coffee. I grind my own beans and it does a marvelous job of perking a fantastic cup of coffee.
My individual quirk ... just wish the perking top were made of clear glass ... just my childhood nostalgia
! Anyway it is a great coffee maker and one I highly recommend.
